Cheesy Profiles On Online Dating Sites
One of the many things that online daters hate and find frustrating are cheesy profiles that might as well say ‘Im a loser’ The main idea of becoming a member of an online dating site is to attract a partner. 90% of profiles on offer do the opposite and are turn offs. This has made many online daters put off with the whole process. I’m sorry to say to you males, you’re the main offenders. Have you men ever wondered why you send so many messages to beautiful women on online dating sites and never get a response? Let me tell you why. YOUR PROFILES STINK.
Have you guys ever wondered why such a small minority of the male population always seem to end up dating lots of women. Its because this minority puts time and thought into what it is they are actually doing. Snagging a great girl requires effort, charm and confidence. So many profiles on offer simply don’t get a look in. The ones that stand out get all the attention. It’s not that hard to work out if you think about it. Women are also guilty of this, but it’s mainly the guys that don’t give themselves a chance from the outset.
There are 3 main parts of completing a profile that really count.
Title…
Try something original and catchy. Titles such as “Hi” or “How are you?” or “single guy” can guarantee you that this is the only part of your profile that will get read. Trying something original like ‘check out today’s specials’ or ‘catch of the day’ and members will be inclined to read on and check you out further. At least you’ve made it to first base.
Your description…
Don’t bore members with depressing information about your lifes mishaps. Keep it simple, humorous and upbeat. Don’t tell them your life story or make your description too long-winded. There is more chance of them wanting to continue reading your profile if you come across knowing what you want out of life, and that you have some direction and ambitions. Hint: Don’t mention you want 5 kids and you want to end up living next door to your parents. Believe it or not, yes, there are many people that would include this kind of information. They can’t work out why they never get a response. Online dating sites are full of profiles that simply don’t take into account what other members will think once they read their profile. Have a good think about what your potential partner may be looking for before you sign up for online dating.
Photo…
Always, and I mean always, include a photo. Remember, you need to stay up with the competition. Even if you think you’re not attractive and you’re embarrassed, there will be someone who will put you into their catagory and you will sooner or later attract interest. It’s a number’s game, a law of averages. Remember, there are millions of online daters out there. Put the effort in, keep trying, and stick to your game plan. Yes, rejection can make it difficult to keep putting the next foot forward.
Online dating gives members so much choice, it’s natural that there are alot of fussy members out there. Compare it to grocery shopping. A supermarket has 10′s of thousands of items. Shoppers only walk out with a handful of items compared to what is on offer. But sooner or later, eventually, all the items in the supermarket will be selected. Ensure you upload several nice photos. Make sure you smile. If you don’t have any decent photos, spend $100.00 and have some specifically done. It’s all about effort and common sense.
