The Best Way To Win Your Ex Back

by Claire Tourney

There is an avalanche of advice available for the broken hearted lover who seriously wants to try and win their ex back. And a lot of it is well intentioned, excellent advice.

But there is one recurring theme that runs through almost every effective tip, strategy or method. It’s the concept of self love. It’s very simple – you really can’t expect someone else to like you, or even be attracted to you if you do not like yourself.

Now I know that lack of self love and low self esteem can be almost endemic. And there are numerous reasons for that, too many to go into here.

But no matter how hard it may be to really come to that place of liking yourself, it’s the most effective way of getting your ex back. Many of the relationship break up blunders that people make are because of neediness and desperation, two classic examples of a lack of healthy self esteem and just genuinely being OK with yourself.

Now that does not mean there aren’t some other things you might want to change to make yourself more attractive to your ex, but these should be things you would like to change anyway, to be a better you, not just to try and influence someone else’s perception of you.

After all, you have to live with yourself for the rest of your life, whether you are in a relationship or not. So the most important part of your strategy right now if you want to get your ex back is to not only look at where the relationship went wrong, but take a look at whether you are really OK enough with yourself to be in a healthy relationship in the first place.

If you start working on self acceptance and getting a healthy sense of love and respect for yourself this will not only make you a happier, more confident person, but you will become much more attractive to your ex girlfriend, boyfriend, husband or wife too. Then it will be time to put some SMARTER strategies to work to help you win back your lost love.
